Rectangles stack like a desert skyline. Albuquerque #11 begins here, a quiet rebellion of geometry and light. Diebenkorn’s ochre planes butt against cobalt edges, each shape anchored by a single charcoal line. The top half glows with the weight of late-afternoon sun; the bottom half recedes into cool shadow. A thin horizon of raw canvas peeks through, as if the paint itself is breathing. Hang it above a low credenza where the ochre can hum against warm wood, or let it hold its own on a white hallway wall between doorways.
