Gego (Gertrud Goldschmidt) was a German-Venezuelan sculptor celebrated for her intricate wire mesh installations and drawings that explore structure, space, and line with extraordinary delicacy. Her Reticulareas - room-sized nets of interlocking metal lines - are among the most original sculptural environments of the 20th century.
