Sol LeWitt

Sol LeWitt (1928–2007) was an American artist central to both Conceptual art and Minimalism, best known for his wall drawings, structures, and series of works based on strict logical systems and rules. His art proposed that the idea or concept was the most important aspect of the work — the physical execution merely one possible realization of an underlying set of instructions. Despite this conceptual rigor, LeWitt's art is visually compelling: colorful, geometric, and engaging. His wall drawings have been recreated in museums and institutions worldwide, and his prints translate his systematic beauty into accessible, bold imagery ideal for modern interiors, offices, and gallery-inspired spaces.
