A single ochre disc drifts above a field of crosshatched cobalt. Gottlieb’s Jetsam, 1967, keeps its balance on the edge of the canvas. The disc is not centered; it leans left, as if caught mid-fall. Below, cobalt lines crisscross in uneven strokes, some thick, some barely there. A thin black border frames the chaos, holding it in place. Hang it where morning light skims the wall—above a low credenza or beside a narrow hallway.
