Emil Nolde
Emil Nolde was a German-Danish Expressionist painter celebrated for his intensely coloured floral still lifes, religious scenes, and atmospheric watercolours. One of the first Expressionists, his raw, emotive use of colour made him one of the most distinctive voices of early 20th-century German art.
