Larry Zox was an American abstract painter associated with the Washington Color School and Post-Painterly Abstraction, known for his hard-edged, boldly coloured geometric canvases that vibrate with optical intensity. His Rotation and Diamond series are among the most formally inventive works of 1960s American abstraction.
