Marcel Barbeau
Marcel Barbeau was a Canadian abstract painter and the youngest member of the Automatiste movement, whose explosive, gestural canvases evolved from surrealist automatism to vibrant, dynamic colour abstraction over six decades. His energetic, colour-saturated works are among the most joyful in Canadian abstract painting.
