武夷山径 — Fine Art

A path winds through mist over the mountains in Wuyishan. Wu Guanzhong uses ink and wash painting to build layers of grey and black against a pale ground. The brush runs in long strokes that fade into water, so the mountain and the trail seem to breathe together.

The fine art frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. White finishes keep the soft greys readable, while a dark wood edge holds the ink tones in place. The frame finish sits flat against the print.

On a bedroom wall, the pale field stays soft under a bedside lamp. From the foot of the bed the path line leads the eye toward the mountain. The ink washes hold their tone without glare.
