04 08 1993 1993

Zao Wou-Ki often worked in an abstract style that grew from his time in France and his study of ink painting. The title 04 08 1993 1993 reads like a date written on the back of a canvas.

His mature work usually carries broad colour fields and strokes that lean into one another. This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel, so the image arrives ready to hang without extra fitting.

The matte surface keeps the colour tones soft when light falls on it. Hang it on the wall beside the desk in a study, where the broad strokes stay loose from a few paces back and the date title stays quiet near the books.
