One hundred identical cans line up in ten neat rows. This is Warhol’s 100 Cans, a grid of Del Monte peach halves rendered in flat, commercial ink.
Each can repeats the same oval label, the same peach slices, the same white highlight. The only variation is the occasional smudge where the screen slipped. Cadmium orange and titanium white sit side by side, unmodulated, as if printed yesterday.
Hang it above a mid-century credenza; the poster’s mechanical repetition quiets the clutter of everyday objects.
