18 Happenings in 6 Parts — Fine Art

18 Happenings in 6 Parts by Allan Kaprow sets a series of numbered sections across the page. The marks read as brief actions laid out in order, with different shapes and letters grouped in blocks. The layout follows the idea of events happening in six parts.

The fine art print sits on a flat matte surface, so the letters and numbers stay readable without glare under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall keeps the numbered sections clear, and a dark frame on a pale wall makes the blocks stand out.

In a study, the numbered blocks read from the desk while you work. From the doorway you see the separate parts lined up, and up close the small letters and marks give each section its own shape.
