19651 — Fine Art

19651 - ∞, Detail 4914800 - 4932016 - Conceptual Art by Roman Opalka shows a grid of numbers on a pale background. Each row carries the same figures in dark ink. The work comes from a long practice of writing the same number over and over.

Your fine art print uses a matte paper that keeps the ink quiet and the pale tone soft. A light frame sits on a dark wall, or a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

On a study wall the rows read like a steady record. From the desk you see the numbers line by line. The room stays calm while the page fills with the same marks again and again.
