About this work
A handwritten note sits at the centre of this fine art print, with the date March 10, 1963 and the city name New York City written in plain ink across the page. The page edges show a slight uneven line where the paper was cut.
William Saroyan often used simple writing on paper as a way to hold a moment in time. The marks stay clear because the paper is matte and does not shine under a lamp.
No separate frame to buy. You can place it in a home office above the desk, where the writing sits at eye level while you work. From the doorway you see the ink lines first, then the paper tone behind them.
