A Close — Fine Art

A Close shows a face reduced to simple planes and a few quiet tones. Paul Cézanne builds the head with short parallel strokes, blending warm and cool patches into one steady surface. The title points to a portrait study where the background stays near and the features keep their shape.

This fine art print sits in a white frame that gives the picture a clean edge. The white border holds the soft grey tones without a strong outline, so the painted look stays clear along the sides.

On a hallway wall near the stairs, you notice the rounded forms first. The frame edge stays firm against the plaster, and the plain face does not get lost in the echo of the steps.
