A Grove of Windswept Trees — Fine Art

A Grove of Windswept Trees - Tonalism shows a group of trees leaning against each other on a soft ground. The trunks bend in one direction and the branches thin out as they reach the top edge.

A quiet tone spreads across the whole sheet with no sharp edge anywhere. Xavier Martinez makes the marks follow the same direction so the whole scene reads as one movement. The paper holds the light tones without shine so the dark trunks stay soft against the lighter sky.

The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. This fine art print sits on a bedroom wall where the morning light comes in low from the left.
