About this work
A Zandmennik house sets a low building against a wide sky with thin marks for the roof and the ground. The eye rests on the dark shape of the house and the pale field beside it.
Vincent van Gogh worked in thick paint, using short strokes that keep the surface active. The fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.
The matte paper keeps the paint marks soft and takes the light without shine. It fits a narrow stairwell with cool air and steps that break the view into parts. From the landing you see the house shape and the empty field holding the lower edge.
