Abstract Painting 780 1 1 uses broad strokes of paint laid across the surface in shifting tones of grey and white. The marks overlap where the squeegee passed, leaving uneven bands and thin openings.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. You see the movement of the tool in the uneven edge of each layer. Gerhard Richter worked with this method over many years, pulling paint across the canvas so earlier layers show through the wet surface.

The paper is matte, so the pale greys stay soft and the painted surface does not shine under a lamp. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, so you set it straight onto a nail or screw without a separate frame.
