Alfedena Abruzzi

A village scene drawn with careful line work sits inside Alfedena Abruzzi by MC Escher. The name points to a place in the Abruzzo hills. Fine art prints of this kind show buildings carved into steep ground, with roofs and paths stepping down the slope.

The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame keeps the outline soft next to the fine art line work. A black frame sets a sharper edge against the slopes. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall so the drawing holds its shape.

In a study, the print sits on the side wall above the desk. From the chair you see the roofs and paths first, then the pencil like lines on the slopes. The frame finish picks up the tone of the desk.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
