Arctic Thaw, 1990

Arctic Thaw 1990 shows pale washes spreading across the paper, with thin edges where the paint thins out. The ground stays open, so the colour sits on top of the surface instead of covering it.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the pale tones from shining under a lamp. When you use the ready to hang option, it arrives assembled, so the print and frame stay together as one piece.

It sits on the wall beside a desk in a study, where the desk lamp throws a small pool of warm light across the lower part of the image. You notice the thin painted lines first, then the open paper ground around them.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
