At Miss Webbs

At Miss Webbs - 1963 runs across the page in broad painted bands. The marks sit on a plain ground with room between them.

Hassel Smith worked in this way during his abstract city scenes and 1950s American painting years. The paper stays matte so the flat tones do not catch a lamp.

A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel keeps the edges clean. You see the paint blocks from the doorway and the small shifts in tone up close.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
