Avery — Fine Art

The title Avery - 1968 points to a field built from soft rectangles and broken colour patches. Doug Ohlson often worked with these stacked colour planes and simple geometric shapes. The image moves across the sheet in calm horizontal layers.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a separate frame. The matte surface keeps the colour planes flat without shine.

It sits on the wall above a kitchen counter near a window. From the sink you notice the quiet colour blocks while the room stays busy. The same wall holds a small clock and a bowl of keys.
