Bali — Fine Art

Bali - figurative by Brett Whiteley shows a figure set against a warm, crowded ground. Lines and washes sit close together, with skin tones and foliage tones mixing across the picture. The work belongs to figurative painting from the late twentieth century.

This fine art print uses matte paper, so the softer washes do not shine under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the pale passages stand out, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture keeps the look steady.

Hang it low on a hallway wall near the stairs, where the figure reads first and the layered marks come into view as you pass.
