About this work
Ball by Julio Le Parc (1968)
A sphere floats in a void. This is Ball, a 1968 work by Julio Le Parc that plays with perception and space. The simplicity of the subject belies its complexity, inviting the viewer to ponder the interplay between the object and its surroundings.
The artwork features a single, perfectly rendered ball suspended in an empty expanse. The stark contrast between the solid form of the sphere and the blank background creates a sense of depth and dimension. The use of light and shadow adds to the three-dimensional effect, making the ball appear as if it could roll right off the page.
This poster would be a thought-provoking addition to a study or office, where its minimalist aesthetic and intriguing concept can be appreciated.
