About this work
Bananas
A bunch of bananas rests in this still life. Bananas by Juan Gris plays with shape and shadow, turning the ordinary into something extraordinary. The composition is simple yet intriguing, inviting a closer look.
The background is a muted palette of ochres and grays, allowing the bananas to stand out. Gris's signature cubist style is evident in the geometric forms and overlapping planes. The interplay of light and shadow adds depth, creating a sense of three-dimensionality.
This poster brings a touch of modernist intrigue to any space, perfect for a study or a minimalist dining room.
