Banner — Fine Art

Banner - 1962 by Larry Zox uses hard edged colour blocks laid across the sheet. A few flat planes of red and blue press against a dark ground. The colour reads sharp because each block ends cleanly.

A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel keeps the colour clean. The back panel gives the glass a firm hold so the flat colour does not shift while you stand near it. The fine art print arrives assembled when you choose the ready to hang option.

In a narrow hallway the blocks read as separate bands before you turn the corner. On a kitchen wall near a stove the red catches the warm bulb and the blue stays cool. The painted edges stay clear from that distance.
