Berlin Red

The Berlin Red print shows a red field set on white paper. Some washes run toward the bottom half of the sheet. The red is stronger near one side and weaker along the far edge.

Sam Francis handled paint in broad sweeps during his career. The print arrives as a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the red from shining under a lamp.

The frame adds weight so the paper stays flat against the wall. You will notice the red tone from across the room. Stand near the door and the red band reads first. Move closer and the softer washes show next.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
