Blackberry Picker — Fine Art

A figure bends over the plants in Blackberry Picker by Andrew Wyeth. The eye settles on the hands and the bramble leaves, then moves across the bare ground behind them. Dry brush and tempera building this kind of plain American rural scene often leave most of the field empty.

The picture comes as a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel, so the matte surface keeps the dry brush tones soft and the edges stay clean.

It hangs on the narrow hallway wall above the shoe bench, where the short brush marks show from the stairs and the empty ground behind the figure stays quiet.
