Blue 47

Blue 47 shows a blue field with broader sweeps of paint spread across the sheet. The colour moves in layers, some areas thicker than others. Sam Francis often worked with open space and soft washes in this way.

This fine art print uses a matte paper that keeps the blue tones calm and flat under a lamp. The frame gives the sheet a clear edge on the wall. Four finishes are available, white, wood, dark wood or black.

Hang it above a low console with open floor in front. From across the room the broad blue sweeps read as one shape. Up close the small changes in pressure show in the paint layers. The wall behind stays simple so the colour has room to settle.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
