Blue Nude — Fine Art

A reclining figure in blue stands out against a darker background. The body is built from flat colour blocks instead of detailed shading. Blue Nude follows the cut paper direction Henri Matisse took in his later years.

You get a fine art print with a metal hanger fitted to the back. It goes straight onto a nail or screw, so there is no separate frame to buy. The matte surface keeps the blue tones soft and stops a bright reflection from sitting on the figure.

It suits a narrow wall in a quiet room where you stand a little away from it. From across the space the blue figure holds its own against the darker ground. Up close the edges of the shape show how the colour was cut and placed.
