Blue Violet — Fine Art

Blue Violet by Sam Francis holds a cool blue field on a pale ground. The painted area sits off to one side, leaving open air across the rest of the sheet.

A single violet wash leans in from the edge and the eye follows it slowly. This fine art print is made on matte fine art paper, so the blue stays even and the white stays clean when the light hits it. A black frame adds a sharp line around the picture.

The contrast keeps the pale space separate from the paint. It works on a bedroom wall near a bedside lamp. You notice the blue first, then the quiet white around it.
