Bowl Glass and Newspaper — Fine Art

Bowl Glass and Newspaper shows a bowl, a glass and a newspaper laid out on a table. Juan Gris painted the scene using flat planes of colour and clear outlines. The shapes sit side by side in a calm arrangement. The picture belongs to synthetic cubism, where objects break into simple geometric parts.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black and gives the picture a clean edge on the wall. A black frame keeps the grey tones steady and stops the line work from fading into the background.

On a kitchen shelf you notice the newspaper first, then the curved bowl. The light from the window catches the glass outline and the flat colour blocks stay separate.
