Bridge at Old Lyme 02 — Fine Art

A wooden bridge crosses a narrow waterway near the houses of Old Lyme. The painting stays loose and open, with quick strokes laid over a soft ground. The title Bridge at Old Lyme 02 tells you the place without crowding the scene.

This is a fine art print set in a frame, with a back panel behind the print. The frame holds the image flat and the back panel keeps the edges clean. The matte surface of the fine art print keeps the blues and greens from glinting under a lamp.

It sits on a dining room wall where the afternoon light falls from the side. From the table you read the bridge shape first, and from the chair you notice the small strokes in the water.
