About this work
By Evening by Isaac Levitan (1899)
Golden clouds roll across a serene landscape. By Evening depicts a quiet countryside bathed in the gentle glow of twilight. The composition features a rich blend of cobalt shadows and gilded sunset hues. The scene is dominated by a winding river and a distant village, with trees and foliage rendered in delicate crosshatching. This art poster is ideal for a softly-lit room, where the twilight scene can blend seamlessly with the room's ambiance, creating a contemplative space.
