Calla Lily in Tall Glass — Fine Art

A tall glass holds a single white calla lily against a plain background. The flower rises straight and the form fills most of the space. Calla Lily in Tall Glass follows the close flower study approach of Georgia OKeeffe, where one bloom takes up the whole sheet and the curve of the stem reads as a clear line.

The print sits on matte fine art paper, so the white of the flower stays soft and the clear border stays sharp under indoor light. A light frame on a dark wall makes the white form stand out against the surrounding surface.

It hangs on the wall above the desk by the window. From the chair you see the straight stem and the round base of the flower, and the glass shows as a clean dark shape.
