Camino Real II

Camino Real II by Cy Twombly shows loose writing and marks on a light ground. The lines feel handwritten and restless, a habit of the artist working in a gestural way. Thick strokes and thinner traces sit over one another, leaving parts of the surface open.

The fine art print sits on matte paper so the pale marks do not shine under a bulb. A light frame on a dark wall makes the writing stand out, or a dark frame on a pale wall keeps the marks soft.

In a hallway with a side light near the ceiling, you read the lines as you pass. The marks look like quick notes left on a page, not a finished drawing.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
