Captain Blue

Captain Blue - 1979 sets a broad blue band over a quieter field on this fine art print set in a frame with a back panel.

The printed colour holds its weight from far away, and the surface stays even when you stand near it. Ronnie Landfield built his painting practice around painted colour fields and open space.

The frame gives the image a firm edge, and the back panel keeps it flat on the wall. It sits well on the dining room wall near the door, where the blue band reads across the table and the quieter ground settles behind it.
