Casts From Untitled Leg 1974

Casts From Untitled Leg 1974 shows a painted cast that repeats a single leg shape. The surface holds brushwork and a wax-like build that points back to Jasper Johns and his habit of working with familiar objects.

The print is finished as a fine art piece on matte paper, so the darker passages stay even and there is no shine under a lamp. A frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

It suits a study or a reading corner, hung on the wall beside a desk. From that spot you notice the repeated leg forms first, then the small changes in the paint as you step nearer. The view stays calm while the shapes do the work.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
