Celebration, Birth — Fine Art

The title Celebration Birth points to a scene of arrival and new life. Richard Pousette-Dart often built such scenes from layered brushwork and bright colour. People read the picture as part of the abstract expressionist painting practice, where marks carry feeling instead of a clear subject.

This fine art print comes set in a frame with a back panel. The framed sheet keeps the surface flat and the back panel adds a steady edge. You can use the ready to hang option and the piece arrives assembled on the wall.

In a narrow dining room, the bright layers sit above the sideboard and the colours read from the doorway. The marks look softer on the matte surface than they would on a shiny surface.
