Chrysan the mums

Chrysan the mums shows a group of chrysanthemum flowers gathered close together. The petals pool in rounded layers against a plain ground. Pierre-Auguste Renoir built the picture with short colour patches that sit side by side. The flowers stay full and the background stays open.

This fine art print keeps the paper matte so the paint tones do not shine under a lamp. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white frame lets the soft petals stay forward, and a black frame lifts the edges apart.
