About this work
Close Cover Before Striking
A matchbook cover floats in a sea of white. This is Close Cover Before Striking, a playful twist on a Coca-Cola matchbook by Andy Warhol. The familiar logo pops against the stark background, both familiar and unexpected.
The bold red and black text demands attention, while the matchbook itself tilts slightly, adding a sense of movement. The contrast between the stark white background and the vivid colors of the matchbook creates a dynamic visual tension. Warhol's signature style shines through in this piece, blending commercial art with fine art.
This poster brings a touch of whimsy to any space, perfect for a home office or a modern living room.
