Colored sky above the Marais

Colored sky above the Marais shows a town sky with broad areas of colour. Emil Nolde painted the sky over a Paris district with quick, uneven strokes. The colours move across the top half and leave the lower part quieter.

This fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the bright sky tones from shining under a lamp. You see the uneven paint marks without any gloss between them.

It fits a kitchen wall near a window where morning light falls on the glass and the blue shapes stay clear all day.
