Composition

Composition - Tachisme shows quick marks laid down with ink on paper. Henri Michaux worked with fluid lines and uneven colour patches. The image moves in short strokes and brief runs of pigment. No single shape holds the sheet. The marks stay separate and the paper shows through.

This fine art print keeps the ink look on a matte sheet. The frame can follow the wall behind it. A light frame on a dark wall lets the ink lines stay clear. A wood frame sits well beside wooden furniture.

It works on the stairwell wall where the light changes through the day. From the lower landing you notice the dark runs first. Closer, the paper grain shows in the thin spaces.
