Composition with Discs — Fine Art

Composition with Discs by Sonia Delaunay shows rings and arcs laid over a bright field. The curves cross one another and leave a few open gaps. From across the room the bands read as simple loops.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. Up close you see the edges where one band ends and the next begins. The white frame gives the picture a clean line on the wall. That pale edge sits calmly against the bright patches.

The work suits a dining room with a wooden mantel. From the table you see the big rings first. When you stand near the plate you spot the small shifts in tone.
