Compotier Carafe and Open Book — Fine Art

A compotier, a carafe and an open book rest on a table in the picture. Juan Gris built the scene from flat coloured planes. The drawing uses clean lines and a few repeated colours. The still life sits against a plain background.

This fine art print hangs from a metal hanger fitted to the back. You drive a nail or screw into the wall and rest the hanger on it. The image reaches the wall without a separate frame.

In a kitchen, the open book and the carafe catch the morning light from the side window. You see the flat planes first, then the lines on the glass when you stand near the table.
