Concert Hall Set III — Poster

A field of white, broken by cobalt splashes, dominates Concert Hall Set III. This artwork by Sam Francis is a study in contrast and movement, where the eye is drawn to the interplay between the stark white background and the dynamic blue elements. The composition is both simple and complex, with the blue forms appearing to float and dance across the white expanse. The cobalt splashes vary in size and intensity, creating a sense of rhythm and flow. The white background is not merely a blank canvas but an active participant in the visual dialogue. This poster brings a sense of calm and contemplation to a quiet study or bedroom, where its subtle complexities can be appreciated.
