Concrete Mixer From the Portfolio Revolving Doors 1926 shows a machine made strange by sharp angles and flat planes. Man Ray built this image from the same sort of cut and assembled practice he used for his ready made objects. The machine sits in a clear space with hard edges and no soft fill.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. That means the hard lines of the machine stay against the wall without a border breaking them.

It fits on a narrow stairwell wall where the light comes from a side lamp. You notice the flat shadow under the mixer and the plain background as you climb past.
