A field of ochre and slate is raked with thick, black impasto. The left shape is a teardrop of cobalt, the right a jagged wedge of crimson. Their edges meet in a silent exchange, as if the paint itself is speaking.
Hang it above a low credenza where the colors can breathe without competition from furniture.
