About this work
Cork Study for the Madonna of Port Lligat shows a soft cork surface pressed into a flat shape. Thin lines follow the pressed marks, with a few darker spots where the material was pressed harder.
The fine art print sits on a wall where the frame finish can follow the room, such as a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. This choice keeps the cork texture clear and lets the pressed lines read without any shine on the surface.
Hang it on the landing wall near the top of the stairs. From the first step you see the pressed shape and the soft grey surface, and on the second landing you notice the thin drawn lines that follow the cork marks.
