Crystalline — Fine Art

The title Crystalline - 1975 points to hard facets and clear planes that catch the eye. Gebre Kristos Desta built his abstract work from sharp shapes and layered marks. This fine art print follows that same search for structure.

The paper has a matte surface, so the tones stay even and no shine shows under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall makes the planes stand out, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture keeps the look plain.

It works on a study wall above a desk. From the chair you see the hard edges first, then the small shifts between the tones as you sit down to work.
