David Hockney by David Hockney — Fine Art

David Hockney by David Hockney shows the artist set against a clear background. The figure is painted with broad colour blocks and simple outlines. Blue and yellow sit near the head and shoulders. The strokes feel planned and flat, with little shading.

This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel. The paper keeps the colour areas sharp and the edges clean. When the ready to hang option is used the frame arrives assembled on the wall.

It works on a busy corridor wall where people pass often. From the end of the hall the face reads first, then the colour blocks. You notice the flat yellow near the collar before the blue beside it.
